Sources said a gunfight raged at Kanelwan village of Bijbehara this late evening between holed up insurgents and forces. In the brief exchange of gunfire, one insurgent identified as Yawar, a resident of Sherpora locality of Janglat Mandi in Anantnag Town, has been killed. He had joined insurgent ranks only ten days ago. The encounter is underway and entire area has been sealed off, sources said. More details awaited. || KD
